As Jack walks outside, he mourns the recent death of his wife Mary who was killed in an accident. Then, near a park he observes with empathy a young guy setting up a tent shelter with blankets and other clothing to settle in out of the cold. After that, Jack picks up his young son Michael from school. During their walk home, Michael shares grief about the loss of his mother as Jack comforts him. Later, with Michael in tow, Jack goes out carrying a heavy coat. He finds the tent guy to offer the coat to him. At first, the guy says he does not need it, but after Jack convinces him, it is accepted with gratitude as a backup or he may offer it to someone else in need. Then, Jack with Michael walk towards home in a close bond.
