Synopsis/Details
A contained horror film taking place in the Oregonian wilderness that deals with mental illness, death, masculinity, the father/son dynamic, and overcoming trauma. When he receives news of his abusive, semi-estranged father's death, James Danforth leaves the comfort of his cushy suburban home to visit the old hunting cabin his father left him. Once he there, he becomes snowed in. The only communication he has is with a strange man who calls himself Awful Edgar contacting him through his father's CB radio. Awful Edgar claims to have known James' father, but as the days pass and the food supplies run low he becomes stranger and more menacing. He knows things he couldn't possibly know. As James becomes desperate, he is forced to give up his personal convictions in order to survive in the wilderness. He must confront his past and his memories of his abusive father if he hopes to survive. If Awful Edgar doesn't kill him first. (Co-written with Kate Moneece Tewahangarahken)

The Writer: William Kuechenberg

Born into the wild wilderness of Northwest Indiana, I was above-average in all things academic and below-average in all things important. Having had my head filled with all manner of delusions of guaranteed success, I resolved to one day make my living creating the only things that made sense to me: film and television. This was, in retrospect, a rather foolish idea, and I should have instead tried for something more practical and easier to break into, like becoming the president or the first person to pitch a perfect game on Mars. I went to Indiana University of Bloomington, the finest collegiate institution that was willing to give me a discount. I got two degrees: one in Film Analysis,… Go to bio
