Synopsis/Details

A bank robbery goes successful; Luther and Claudia leave with enough money to satisfy their boss for life. Their driver, Barry Smith runs away with the cash the next morning and finds himself a place to live with a family of two. A lawyer, Brenda, and her daughter, Lola. Angry about the money disappearing, and Barry. Luther takes Claudia to their boss, Erik but Erik doesn't punish her the way Luther planned.

With his addiction to heroin not under control, Barry nearly dies from an accidental overdose. Lola and Brenda help him detox along the way. He develops feelings for Lola but is forbidden by Brenda from doing so. Claudia poses as a student, finding Barry and threatening his new family if he does not give up the money. No choice but to leave, Barry meets up with Claudia but is surprised to be graced by Lola's presence. Behind the wheel again but with Claudia not being so smart, goes headfirst through the windshield.

Claudia is declared dead, and Barry sends Lola to go to the police. Before she leaves, Lola declares her love to Barry. A phone call to Erik from Barry, informing him that Claudia is dead and that Barry is coming to finish the score. Luther guards the entrance door and is met by Barry, where the two engage in a fight but Luther ends up getting killed by a war spear thrown by Erik. Erik runs for another weapon but is stopped by Barry and the two fight until Erik overpowers him. About to kill Barry, Erik is shot and killed by Nicola, Lola's older sister. Who turns out to be a member of the task force and arrests Barry for his involvement in the bank robbery. Claudia turns up and is not dead but is shot by Nicola before she can shoot Barry.

A sniper and mentally ill ex-marine Kevin Crumpler fight with the police. Arrested and in the same county jail as Barry. Kevin's girlfriend, Helen, rescues Kevin and kidnaps Barry. About to kill Barry, Kevin and Helen are brought to justice. With Barry in danger, he is sent into witness protection.

Somewhere in the desert, Barry lives his life as a construction worker and has a new friend named Charlie. Lola shows up one evening on his doorstep and with his life feeling complete, Barry purposes to Lola. The couple's new life as a married couple is disturbed by a crazed Charlie, who is really Kevin. On a road trip to the middle of nowhere, Helen and Kevin set out to kill Barry but are overpowered by the newlyweds. Back in California, and now detectives after a couple of years on the police force. Lola becomes pregnant and Barry wrestles with the idea of what his life was like as a child and wants better for their unborn child. Lola gives birth to a boy, and the couple bask in their moment as parents. The past behind them.
