Synopsis/Details
Michael Chase, a once-revered philanthropist, enters a church and steps into a confession booth to confront Father Samuel, the priest who once served as his spiritual guide. With a haunting presence, Michael recounts his tragic story. After his charity, the Saint Nicolas Project, was ruined by embezzlement, he was wrongfully blamed and imprisoned. Upon release, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, left destitute and alone.
Desperate for solace, Michael sought comfort from Father Samuel, but the priest turned him away. Rejected and overwhelmed, Michael took his own life. However, instead of finding peace, he was plunged into a void where he encountered a dark, ancient entity. Fueled by his thirst for vengeance, Michael struck a sinister pact with the being, gaining unimaginable power.
Now reborn and consumed by anger, Michael confronts Father Samuel, accusing him of moral failure. The priest is horrified as Michael describes the force that resurrected him, marked by its glowing red eyes. Michael declares that the God the priest serves has abandoned him, leaving only the darkness to answer his cries.
Despite the priest’s pleas for forgiveness, Michael reveals his intent to exact vengeance on those he deems responsible for his suffering. With a final chilling warning, Michael leaves Father Samuel in despair, the church enveloped in an unsettling silence. As the confessional door slams shut, the priest is left to grapple with the monstrous consequences of his choices and the question of whether redemption is still possible.
