Synopsis/Details

Sci-Fi Horror

Deep within a classified Arctic research facility, a secret military experiment known as CERBERUS escapes containment. The bioengineered organism—designed to reconstruct its skeleton using the bones of its prey—quickly proves impossible to control. When the creature slaughters the facility’s personnel and vanishes into the frozen wilderness, the military turns to the only man capable of tracking it.

Rourke, a legendary predator hunter with unmatched survival instincts, joins a small recovery team sent to locate and eliminate the creature before it evolves beyond containment. But CERBERUS is no ordinary predator. With every kill it adapts—growing stronger, faster, and increasingly intelligent.

As the team ventures deeper into a remote Arctic canyon, the hunt turns deadly. One by one the soldiers fall, and Rourke realizes the horrifying truth: the creature is studying him, learning from the world’s greatest hunter.

With the team destroyed and the monster rapidly evolving toward something disturbingly human, Rourke must turn the frozen canyon itself into a trap. In a brutal final confrontation, hunter and predator collide in a fight where instinct, not science, will determine which species survives.

But even when the creature finally falls, one question remains:

Did evolution truly end… or has it only begun?

The Writer: Gary Rose

I’m an multi-optioned screenwriter who, in a previous life, served as a police detective, mastering the delicate art of negotiating hostage situations. Retirement led me down a different path—teaching and writing—a journey that began with my first non-fiction book, which became an Amazon best-seller. That success ignited my passion for storytelling and introduced the world to my indomitable protagonist, FBI agent Jeannie Loomis. Believing that the ends justify the means, Jeannie has become the heart of a gripping 18-novel thriller series. My historical fiction script The Beautiful Beast was selected as a quarter-finalist in the 2025 PAGE competition. The Phantom Train script was selected in… Go to bio
