Synopsis/Details
Nora Reiser is a widowed truck driver, a Christian, a soon-to-be grandma and a triathlete. She's happy with who she is and what she does and, despite pressure from her daughter, doesn't feel the need to remarry. In fact, cruising along in life is what she believes is God's will. When she arrives at a secluded lab near Lake Tahoe, Nora's unwillingness to do more is put to the test. The lab has been overrun by Solomon Arno and his religious cult. Arno believes he is God's avenging angel and wants the deadly mutation of HIV the lab is developing, to loose it upon the world and cleanse it from evil. Nora reluctantly helps Dr. Josie Makeba, lead researcher, to try and stop Arno. When that fails and Arno seems to get away, Nora is the only one left who can stop the madman. Across the spectacular Sierra mountains Nora chases Arno. In a deadly showdown on a windblown clifftop, Nora eliminates Arno and finally learns that God's will means sometimes taking action, no matter how dangerous.

The Writer: J.E. Ellis

A native to Northern California, I moved to Reno, Nevada in 1985. I was a truck driver for 34 years (recently retired, whoop! whoop!), married for 30, and have a 16 year old granddaughter who has me wrapped around her fingers (and knows it). In 1994, I began writing professionally (pen name J.E. Ellis), from magazine articles to technical brochures to TV pilots. Several short stories, as well as my 2006 award-winning fantasy book, "The Hordes of Rage," are available on my website. I recently returned to TTRPGs where I run games out of the local game store, Nerdvana. And go to as many sci-fi or gaming cons as I can afford. Go to bio
