Trying to Kill Kent

"Trying to Kill Kent" is written along the lines of films such as "Pineapple Express" and "Superbad." The story's about a young dude named Kent who's under house arrest and wants to kill himself after his mom dies in a horrific car crash while heading to his art opening. As it happens, Kent tries to commit the act on the day he's forced to move in with his estranged wealthy dad, his "Queen Bitch" wife, and her spoiled son Charlie, but thankfully he keeps getting interrupted. Among the culprits is his mischievous friend Rodney, who keeps trying to persuade Kent into throwing a pool party before the parents get back.

Kent's gorgeous but curious neighbor Kat also keeps coming over unannounced. Sure enough, Kent slowly starts falling for her, and comes to believe she might be the only person that can help him sort his life out.

Meanwhile, as the day progresses, Kent and Rodney uncover Charlie's stash of weed and decide to split it 50/50. However, two corrupt cops manage to steal the weed, and then things get even more complicated when Charlie's weed supplier shows up and threatens to kill everyone if he doesn't get his merchandise and the cash Charlie owes him by sundown. Now Kent has to find a way to save everyone...or his original dying wish may come true after all.
