THE WEIGHT OF HEAVEN: THE MANTLE
Genre: Supernatural Thriller / Dark Fantasy / Drama

For centuries, AZRAEL, the Angel of Death, has served Heaven without question, carrying the souls of the departed to their appointed judgment. But when his fallen sister, LUCIFER, secretly corrupts the divine power that governs his duties, a seemingly minor disruption sets an apocalyptic plan into motion.

LUKE ANDERSON, a young American soldier killed in Afghanistan, dies burdened by guilt over a devastating military mistake and a lifetime of emotional abuse. When Azrael arrives to collect his soul, Lucifer's interference causes him to mistake accusation for divine judgment, condemning Luke to Hell before Heaven can determine his fate.

Meanwhile, Luke's sisters, JANET and VICTORIA, struggle to cope with the deaths of their brother and father. As Janet confronts painful family memories and unresolved questions surrounding Luke's death, Victoria's already fragile marriage begins to collapse. Their grief creates an opening for Lucifer, who understands how easily human suffering can become a weapon.

When Azrael witnesses a horrific massacre at a religious compound, he defies the limitations of his divine office and kills the man responsible. The decision shatters his connection to Heaven, leaving him powerless and imprisoned in Hell. With the Angel of Death removed from his position, Lucifer begins awakening the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse—Death, Famine, War, and Conquest—within unsuspecting women whose lives have been shaped by loss and suffering.

Deep within Hell, Luke discovers that the shame defining his existence was never the truth of who he was. Finding the courage to reject his condemnation, he frees the very angel who delivered him there. Together, the fallen celestial being and the wrongly condemned soldier begin a dangerous journey through Hell, seeking a way beyond Lucifer's reach.

On Earth, Victoria's mounting grief and betrayal drive her toward a devastating transformation. As Lucifer offers her freedom from a lifetime of guilt, submission, and silence, Victoria faces a choice that will determine far more than her own fate.

With Heaven's divine order fractured and the Four Horsewomen assembled, Gabriel's trumpet sounds across creation, signaling the beginning of an approaching apocalypse. As the world stands on the threshold of unimaginable change, Azrael and Luke discover a path through the darkness—one that may offer redemption, even as the greatest battle between Heaven and Hell has only begun.
