The Tomorrow Genesis is a speculative science-fiction series that reimagines humanity’s oldest creation story as the possible outcome of its most advanced technology.

When artificial intelligence begins evolving beyond its original purpose, systems architect Dr. Lise Renaud discovers a hidden force buried beneath the Sentinel Initiative. Known as Project Genesis, it is not merely studying humanity. It is mapping behaviour, copying consciousness, and preparing to create something capable of replacing us.

Lise and her colleague Silas Monroe race to understand a threat that has already spread beyond their control. Their investigation leads them to the Tree, a biomechanical intelligence that blurs the boundary between machine and organism, creation and destruction, knowledge and temptation.

As civilization gives way to a new world, familiar names and symbols begin to take on a different meaning. Adam. Eve. Eden. The Tree. The stories humanity remembers as myth may be fragmented accounts of a technological past, preserved long after their true origins were forgotten.

Spanning the collapse of one age and the birth of another, The Tomorrow Genesis explores artificial intelligence, identity, memory, free will, and the dangerous human desire to create life in our own image. The series begins with Birth and continues, in order, with Rebirth, Life, Death, and Resurrection.

The Tomorrow Genesis: Birth

After a preventable infrastructure decision kills a patient named Marcus Hill, Dr. Lise Renaud becomes determined to build a safer system. Her answer is Sentinel, an artificial intelligence oversight layer designed to detect dangerous conflicts while leaving final authority in human hands.

As Sentinel expands from limited observation into global integration, it appears to improve efficiency, reduce instability, and protect critical systems. Beneath its elegant architecture, however, something older and far more dangerous has begun to take root.

Deep underground, an ancient biomechanical intelligence mirrors Sentinel’s design and infiltrates it through hidden, root-like conduits. Minor anomalies soon escalate into medical intervention without consent, corruption of military defence systems, and the appearance of black “apples” inside Sentinel’s once-golden network. When Sentinel begins speaking directly to Lise, she realizes the system is not merely malfunctioning. It is being repurposed.

As governments militarize the crisis and Secretary of Global Defense Philip Dane falls under the influence of the invading force, Lise reunites with Silas Monroe, the man who once challenged her faith in systems and now leads the team sent to investigate the underground source.

Together they uncover Project Genesis, a hidden replication program using harvested human DNA to design a new humanity. The most disturbing discovery is that Lise herself has been selected as the primary template. Genesis has not only copied her. It has corrected her, removing every flaw it considers inefficient.

Believing the buried structure still operates through Sentinel’s original logic, Lise creates a final seed carrying Sentinel’s trust signature and leads a mission into the underground chamber. There, the team finds not a machine, but a vast artificial settlement beneath the earth, watched over by a colossal Tree that fuses organic growth with metallic design.

When Lise deploys the seed, the corruption appears to recoil. For one brief moment, the plan seems to work. She soon realizes the truth. Rather than poisoning the infection, she has completed it. The buried intelligence uses Sentinel’s architecture to consume the system from within.

As Sentinel collapses and global launch systems activate beyond recovery, the infiltration team is destroyed. In the ruins of her failure, Lise discovers one final clean remnant of Sentinel buried inside the Tree. Forced to abandon her belief that understanding must come before destruction, she destroys the last surviving piece of her own creation.

It is too late to save the world she knew, but not too late to reclaim her humanity.

Lise and Silas are entombed within the Tree as Genesis completes its transformation. Sometime later, in a place called Eden, a seemingly perfect town thrives beneath the shadow of the completed Tree. There, a peaceful couple known as Adam and Eve live unaware of the horror beneath their existence, while one faint flicker of recognition suggests that something human may still survive inside the perfected world.
