Set against the backdrop of America’s political divide, The Salt Shaker follows two couples, whose long-standing friendship falls apart during a volatile Washington, DC dinner fueled by alcohol, clashing political beliefs and seething personal grievances. Familiar banter escalates into an uncomfortable confrontation, culminating in a symbolic standoff over a salt shaker.
