Synopsis/Details
A Lifetime-style movie murder mystery. The Global News Network has just been sold to another media corporation. The new owners have a bad reputation and consist of 3 powerful men at the top who have just made the towering GNN building their new home for now. It doesn't take long for these men to exert their influence and their new ideological mandates on an already successful national evening newscast and on the rest of the network. It also doesn't take long for star news anchor Stephanie Allman to resent changes being made by the President of News Steve Collier. It doesn't take long to see Chief Operating Officer Terrance Barrett making unwanted advances to his assistant, a reporter and seemingly every female in the building. And it doesn't take long to find out C-E-O Paul Dugan has an unhappy marriage and an impatient mistress. As the influence and misdeeds of these 3 men grow, tensions build to an ultimate breaking point. One by one Steve, Terrance and Paul are brutally murdered inside the GNN building, all in one week. Cameras capture the killings by 3 masked attackers. And when City police Detectives Scott Boyd and Amy Olson are called in to investigate, the mystery really begins. With a number of female suspects all with motives to kill the hated men in their lives, Boyd and Olson try to unravel what they see on building cameras and in interrogations to catch a killer. Or is it killers?? It's the TV business at its dirtiest...and its deadliest. It's "The News Murders."
