Synopsis/Details

Duthie, now an old man, relates the tale of events that occurred when he was an apprentice on the Tarawak.
The crew had a foreboding of doom when the derelict was sighted by Duthie.
Their unease increases when there are sounds of a battle on a small barque that has run into the derelict.
First Mate Johnson is instructed by the captain to take a group of men and determine what happened on the barque.
Little do they realize their foe has already eviscerated the crew of the barque.
They now await their next prey.

To create original stories has been my primary aim and I am always fascinated when the premise alters during writing and takes an unexpected turn. This usually results in a better outcome. There is so much that is left unsaid, with forgotten stories, that the field is never exhausted in whatever genre a writer specialises.
