Synopsis/Details
Nate loves the smell of books. It turns out he's not the only one. He meets Trisha, president of A.I.L. - Aromas in Literature. Nate desperately to join her elite club. But Trisha doesn't think he has what it takes. Nate must prove he belongs.
Nate is soon pulled into the secretive, underground world of book sniffing. It all goes much deeper than he realizes. He will be watched, followed, persecuted. There's no turning back.
* Note: This 30-minute pilot is based on my short screenplay THAT SMELL. Our film version of THAT SMELL screened at 82 festivals in 15 countries and was honored with several Best Film and Best Screenplay awards. The film was invited to screen at the prestigious SAG-AFTRA Short Film Showcase at New York's Robin Williams Center.
My background: This script was inspired by my, well... my love of various aromas. Especially books. I'm a journalist, screenwriter and wilderness guide. I've won three Associated Press Managing Editors awards for feature writing. As a screenwriter, my films have won 40+ awards at film festivals around the world.
