Synopsis/Details
Paul and Diane meet up in a diner after using the dating app, Shallow Minds. They both recognize the irony, because only
intelligent people get the joke. They talk about philosophical concepts instead of small talk.
Diane visits Paul and helps him as he describes in abstract a trauma that happened to him, and his recurrent memories,
a form of PTSD.
He says his only escape is to dream he is levitating.
Diane and Paul begin to share the same dream, in which they levitate, and see a version of Paul's past, where he claims
to have been able to levitate in reality from the age of six, but this was always dismissed by people as a magic trick,
rather than a form of telekinesis.
Paul later demonstrates to Diane a real levitation, and Diane takes a photo, but they later analyze this and remain
uncertain as to whether they together faked the photo, or that they might still be in a dream.
Paul says his only reality now is becoming his dream, and says he prefers it to real life, with his unresolved trauma.
