Synopsis/Details

George is having a very bad day. After two decades of loyal service, this mild-mannered, cat-loving, ABBA-vinyl-collecting everyman has been summoned to the boardroom by four of the smuggest executives ever to ruin a Monday — and handed a lowball severance offer with the implicit threat of total legal annihilation if he doesn't sign on the spot.

George's lower lip is trembling. The pen is in his hand. All hope appears lost.

Then the doors fly open, and in walks Sammi.

Leather jacket, painted-on jeans, a battered satchel over her shoulder, and — oh — a fresh splotch of someone else's blood on her sleeve. She drops into the seat beside George like she owns the room, which, it turns out, she basically does. Inside that satchel is a folder for each executive, stuffed with surveillance photos and documents that could detonate every carefully constructed life in the room. Strap-on photos, covered-up manslaughter charges, a secret affair with a church elder — Sammi works the table like a blackjack dealer, and by the time she reaches the fourth executive, he folds before she even opens his folder.

Two million dollars, wired offshore, before lunch. No NDA. No guarantees it won't happen again. Just four powerful executives quietly weeping into their custom suits while George walks out with the most satisfying smirk of his life.

The moral of the story? Choose your friends wisely — especially the ones with mysterious bloodstains and very organized satchels.
