I was born in Yokohama, Japan, lived in Memphis, Tennessee until I was 14, and finished high school in Bonn, Germany. I’ve been writing stories since I was five, and became interested in screenwriting in high school. I want to write stories that intertwine magic realism and absurdism with modern African-American culture. We are just as deserving of stories that show us as awkward, intimate, powerful, capable- human. It is my first and foremost goal as a screenwriter to make these stories the new norm in the film industry.
