Synopsis/Details
PIG is an intimate emotional drama about a disfigured man who has spent a lifetime being stared at, mocked, and pushed to the edges of other people's lives.
Now dying alone in a hospital with no visitors, he expects to leave the world exactly as he has lived in it — unnoticed and unloved. But when a nurse discovers that he has quietly been donating blood for years, she realizes that the man everyone avoided has become part of the reason others are still alive.
As the lives of a seriously ill boy and a pregnant woman unfold alongside fragments of two troubled childhoods, unexpected connections begin to emerge between people who have never met.
At its heart, PIG is a story about what lies beyond the first glance — and how a single human connection can give meaning to a lifetime spent without one.
