Synopsis/Details
Four lifelong friends—Maria, Theresa, Patti, and Jeanine—set out on a long awaited ski trip to Copper Mountain, eager to reconnect and enjoy the beauty of the winter landscape. While Maria feels uncertain about returning to the slopes after years away, her friends reassure her, and together they embrace the excitement of their getaway. As they ascend the mountain in a gondola, laughter and nostalgia fill the cabin while snow-covered pines stretch below them. But the mood shifts instantly when a sudden metallic crash jolts the lift to a halt. Suspended high above the mountain in freezing conditions, the women learn there is a structural failure on the line, leaving them stranded with no clear timeline for rescue. As temperatures drop and fear sets in, the friends must rely on each other for warmth, strength, and reassurance. Huddled together against the cold, they confront rising panic, uncertainty, and the very real danger of their situation. The experience tests their resilience and deepens their bond as they fight to stay calm and hopeful. Rescue teams race against time to reach them, and when help arrives, the women are carefully brought to safety and airlifted down the mountain. Though shaken, they emerge stronger, their friendship reinforced by the ordeal. Later that evening, back at the lodge, the tension gives way to relief as they share a meal, laughter, and even make new connections with 4 men that had heard about the accident. The girls are grateful not only for their survival, but for the unbreakable bond that carried them through.
