Old Man of Mancora

Dan is an uninspired writer who lives his life according to his favorite author. After receiving a paranormal message from sources unknown, Dan decides to follow the the author’s footsteps in hopes he’ll gain the inspiration needed to finish his own book. Living by Ernest Hemingways famous quote,”In order to write about life, first you must live it,” he begins to seek unsavory situations with unlikely people. But who cares when you have a book that’s writing itself, literally. Mancora is a coastal town in northern Peru famed in the 1950s for it's prolific marlin fishing. It is very close to Cabo Blanco which was made famous by Ernest Hemingway and his novel Old Man of the Sea. This is the pilot episode of a TV/web series that explores a relationship between Dan and Sara as Dan navigates his calling. The characters are based on the writer and "el amor de mi vida".
