Synopsis/Details
Set in the horse show realm of the equestrian world, this series follows NICHELLE, an amateur equestrian, who's been given ownership of the fancy barn where she rides, trains, and boards her horse, SPOCK. It's a great surprise, but it came with the surprise revelation that her trainer, SANTIAGO, is also her biological father. Her best friend, CARMEN, her widowed father, PAUL, and her 'could be' lover, KAI, help Nichelle digest this new revelation. Together, they help each other navigate life, love, and relationships outside the barn. Nichelle's life at the barn proves quite complicated. Her 'frienemy' (and newly discovered cousin), IZZY, takes most of the barn's clientele, leaves the farm in a tricky position, financially and otherwise. With the help of Santiago, the ground's manager, COOP, and a new trainer, RED, Nichelle will rebuild, revitalize and rebrand the barn, creating OHANA FARMS. Izzy starts her own farm and ignites a rivalry between their two facilities pitting the 'haves' against the 'have nots'. Collectively, Ohana Farms becomes an inviting place for newbies joining the sport, a training facility for current competitors, a staple in the community, and an ally in the fight to diversify and change the mostly exclusive equestrian world. Each presents its own set of challenges, which Nichelle and the crew take in stride. Like the horses they ride, the highs and lows will ultimately lead them right where they want to be - the winner's circle.
