Synopsis/Details
TIMMY (42, barely hanging in there) heads straight to the local satanic temple for his sister, QUELLA's (40, punk-rock meets middle age) wedding rehearsal. There's plenty of tension. VAUGHT (41), the satanic dark lord who's awfully proud of passing his level-7 dark-lord exams, and Timmy really don't get along. Quella's nervous.
And she should be! Timmy hijacks the wedding, one power chord at a time, overpowering the satanic pastor. Vaught struggles to take the guitar and instead gets Timmy's fender in his jaw...
That gives Timmy a shortcut to prison, where he meets a COP whose mom got piano lessons from Timmy for years. She remembers him fondly. So, how does Timmy see himself?
There's not much time to answer, because ALLISON, Timmy's ex-wife, has just bailed him out, and she's got an earful for him. She might have paid for bail, but she won't pay for his uber home. Timmy's got to look in the mirror..
He trudges back to the satanic temple, bites the bullet and apologizes. He's more broke than ever, he's embarrassed himself in front of his family, but he's finally taken a step...
In the coffee shop the next morning with his daughters, Timmy contemplates how to pick up the pieces. He orders from JEAN, the barista, who was actually at the wedding. She thinks Timmy rocks. I mean, she thinks he's an idiot for spoiling his sister's wedding, but he also rocks. This sliver of light brightens more when Quella shows up to say goodbye, and start anew, this time with a little more acceptance.
The End.
