Jia

Synopsis A wealthy Chinese business man, Mr. Li hires a bodyguard for his beautiful, young daughter, Jia. She becomes obsessed with him even though he has no regard for her family's values. He introduces Jia to vices and seems to be bent on corrupting her. Her parents notice the disturbing changes in Jia's behavior -from an obedient, dutiful girl to a secretive rebel who no longer tries to please her parents. Jia's mother, who is semi-crippled from a fall off a horse, travels to Beijing with Mr. Li for medical reasons. On their return, they discover that Jia has disappeared. Also, her bodyguard along with Yong's tutor have left. All three left separately without giving notice. Despite relentless attempts to find his daughter, Mr. Li comes up against a brick wall. Even after paying a demand for a large ransom Jia's whereabouts remain a mystery.
