Synopsis/Details
A youngish blogger is somewhat a loser. His cousin sets him up on a blind date that goes poorly. During the date, he is inexplicably bit by a venomous snake and wakes up to discover that he's been abducted by space aliens who want him to blog. Apparently, the world ended hundreds of years ago and - as explained to him by the alien representative (who presents as a kindly old lady) - if he blogs well enough, the aliens may be able to restore other humans to keep him company. Meanwhile, an amoral CEO has come up with a plan to generate high quality content from writers for free by using underground bunkers and mind-controlling drugs. The plan works and the CEO becomes a celebrated thought-leader and expands from a website into movies and TV. Adventure and comedy ensues.

The Writer: Nick Carmine

I was a kid in the 1980's. Back then, I had a comic book collection. There was this store called The Phantasy Emporium where I spent many happy hours and discovered The Spirit by Will Eisner. I wrote him a letter and he wrote me back (!). I read Tom Swift too and Madeline L'Engle. I wrote stories and drew comics and continued writing creatively through college. Quit writing after college. Started again about 10 years ago. My writing had improved. I wrote stories. I wrote a blog. I wrote plays for the Cincinnati One Minute Play Festival. I wrote a humorous screenplay. It won awards in 2020 and 2019. Awards 2020 - “How I Learned to Blog Like Champ After the End of the World” won Grand Prize… Go to bio
