Synopsis/Details
MARCO, early 30s, is a man undone by tragedy. When his parents are killed in a devastating car accident, everything collapses around him. Unable to keep up with bills, mortgage payments, and the weight of grief, Marco loses the family home his parents worked their whole lives to build. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, he ends up living in his broken-down car on the street — invisible, broke, and barely surviving day to day.
One night Marco drifts into a bar and runs into STAN, an old friend. Stan is warm and well-meaning but runs with a dangerous crowd — he has connections to the criminal organisation that runs underground cage fights in the city. Seeing Marco at his lowest, Stan wants to help. He arranges for Marco to meet JOE, 67, a grizzled veteran of the underground fight world with decades of experience in MMA and kickboxing. Joe has coached fighters his whole life and has seen every kind of raw talent walk through his door.
But he has never seen anything like Marco. Joe watches him move for thirty seconds and knows immediately — this man has extraordinary natural speed and instinctive power that no training programme could manufacture. Joe takes him on. The journey begins.
