Synopsis/Details

Set in a dystopian future where the death rights of convicted murderers are turned over to the victims families. Some choose to act out vengeance on their own, others choose to sell those rights to the county where a secret club of state judges have devised a last-man-standing game for their own form of justice and profit.

Danny Stone, fresh off of a two-year bid for embezzling money, looks to restart his life and rekindle his relationship with his wife and teenage daughter. His reset is tarnished when coming back from a job interview early finds his wife being attacked by a man in their bed. Or so he thinks. He takes action and after the tables are turned against him, and his wife shoots him for attacking her lover, he inadvertently kills them both in self-defense. His sister-in-law sells his death rights to the county judge.

Now, locked up in an abandoned prison with a ragtag group of death row inmates, he finds himself fighting for his life in the game developed by the state governor and his team. A game pitting death row convicts against one another and a trio of blood thirsty "enforcers", all while the families of their victims watch in a closed circuit viewing.

Danny’s 17-year-old daughter is the only one who believes in his innocence. She devises a plan of escape, but is captured herself by the enforcers and used as bait to fuel Danny's inner rage. Now, he must dig into the darkest pit of his soul and unleash his own hell to appease the governor along with the cheering crowd as he exterminates his opponents in the search for his little girl.

The Writer: Antoine Mizel

Born and bred in the Bay Area, Northern California. Father of one. Husband of one. Retired professional boxer. Realizing that entertaining with fictional violence would be much more lenient on his brain cells, he began a prestigious, yet ominous writing career. Finding the joy in his pain growing up in the tough cities and even tougher households, he has a keen interest in developing rough and rugged action/thriller pieces featuring underrepresented characters, specifically BIPOC. After several script options, ten produced shorts, and one indie full-feature produced, his grind continues as long as his pulse does. Go to bio
