God's Work

A lot of people talk about evil... they're actually doing something about it. They are FATHER MALACHI, FATHER XAVIER and FATHER CORRADO. And together, they humbly seek to do God's Work. Recruited by the Vatican and working under a secret subsect of the Jesuits, they are an elite unit of Roman Catholic Exorcists who deal only with cases of "perfect possession": those extreme cases where people have been so completely taken over by demonic entities that they are direct agents of satan, hostages to the devil, unable and unwilling to receive God's mercy. And while these rare cases require a special ceremony, and a special sacrifice, they do offer a unique opportunity for the exorcists to actually destroy the demonic beings themselves. The downside is, the perfectly possessed person is usually killed, in effect, assassinated, but God willing, their everlasting soul salvaged from eternal damnation. So it is with their mandate, their unique spiritual weapons and tactics, their own brand of martial arts, "The Swift Hand of God", and their very own cross bow fired arsenal of "Longinous Bolts", this trinity of septuagenarian commando priests wage war against global corporate sleaze and heartless economic hitmen, along the way leaving a trail of bodies that the world at large sees as nothing more than a string of bizarre ritual killings. With the world on the brink of conflict and the focus of the Global War on Terror shifting to Africa, terrorist bases are revealed to be hidden amongst some of the poorest war torn villages, and tactical nuclear weapons are very much on the table. As the latest round of diplomacy deteriorates into more arrogant saber rattling, the triumvirate of demon busters are given their next target: The president of the United States himself, by all accounts an amoral psychopath ready to start Armageddon on a whim. With the help of a high level military aide and an earnest Secret Service agent, the priests set about planning their most dangerous mission yet, one which will require them to infiltrate a cruise ship during the height of the G8 Summit and perform an exorcism on the sitting commander in chief. With an army of Italian police and other dedicated Secret Service agents closing in, will they succeed? In the mortal machinations of mankind, every success is relative.
