Late at night, Harold, a veteran soldier who became blind in the war, feels his way into the dark and damp hallway of his apartment building. His cane hits something soft. It’s no garbage bag, as he first assumes. It’s a body. A woman’s body. Lifeless.

He can’t see her, but Harold smells a trace of blood… and the perfume of someone else. Someone still there. Someone watching. Then a door creaks. Was it another witness like him… or the killer?

Maybe it’s a message. Maybe it’s payback from a past he’s tried to forget. Or was the young woman killed by one of his neighbors, now all shaken?
