Hector is a diplomatic assistant at the Yalta conference toward the end of WW2. Arrangements he hears are troubling, especially after befriending lovely Magda, a fellow assistant from eastern Europe. He tries to post a message to his friend, but only succeeds with the help of a mysterious cat-like creature he meets in dreams. And with help from Magda.
