Synopsis/Details
Under the grand clock of Glasgow Central Station, David waits anxiously for a blind date. When she doesn’t arrive, he strikes up a conversation with Kate, a lively backpacker from New Zealand. Their banter builds into a real connection, and at last David gives in to the moment, leaving with her. Just then, Emma — the woman he was meant to meet — arrives. Relief floods her face as she spots David, only to crumble when she sees him disappear with Kate. Devastated, she lashes out at a nearby bench in frustration until Owen, a young art student sketching nearby, gently interrupts. What begins as an awkward exchange becomes the seed of an unexpected connection. Central is a story of timing, heartbreak, and serendipity — how even in moments of loss, something new can begin.
