
Synopsis/Details
During the first day of a record-breaking New York city heatwave. The lives of disgruntled residents of a poor Washington Heights neighborhood intertwine and collide as the heat rises and tensions boil over to their breaking points. The Firemen at the local firehouse are cracking under pressure, the cities spiraling into bankruptcy, desperate times call for desperate measures. A group of close-knit Cops involved in an under the table protection money racket is coerced into double-crossing their Drug dealing Moneyman by one of their own. A gang of adolescent boys graduates from petty crime and assault to arson and attempted murder. As the lights go out and the city plunges into chaos, two young lovers are separated with their lives hanging in the balance, while an all too familiar psycho-killer stalks the halls of an apartment building...
