Benny B

BENNY BUCHENSTEIN (60s–70s), a beloved but curmudgeonly baseball announcer, is unceremoniously forced into retirement by a slick new management team eager to replace him with a younger, flashier voice. Betrayed by the organization he devoted his life to, Benny spirals—washed-up, disconnected, and angrily yelling at squirrels in his backyard.

Until he’s abducted by aliens.

One starlit evening, Benny is swept aboard a spaceship piloted by DORRGROOS, a well-meaning race of extraterrestrials. They’ve intercepted a sinister plan by their evil galactic cousins, the ZEPPENDULARS: to launch a full-scale invasion of Earth and harvest humans as a delicacy—starting with a sold-out baseball stadium. The benevolent aliens believe Benny’s fame, trusted voice, and ability to reach the masses may be the planet’s only shot at survival.

Waking up face-down in his flower bed with a sunburn and a mouthful of mulch, Benny is rattled but convinced the invasion is real. Trouble is, no one else is. Branded a nutcase by the media and dismissed by former colleagues, Benny sets out to stop the coming disaster—with nothing but his gravelly voice, Hawaiian shirt, and his stubborn sense of purpose.

Enter MATIAS (12), the brilliant but isolated kid next door, who believes Benny’s story and eagerly joins the cause. Together, they team up with CLUTCH (40s), the team’s loyal field manager and one of Benny’s few remaining allies—who’s also battling for his job against ruthless General Manager, ALEXIS MARTINEZ (30s), a sharp-tongued corporate climber with secret plans to take over the team.

As the countdown to invasion begins, Benny, Matias, and Clutch scramble to expose the truth and save the stadium crowd from becoming the main course. With humanity hanging by a thread, an old-school announcer finds new purpose, a kid finds a much needed mentor, and the evil ET’s only weakness—bubble gum—might just turn the tide.
