Hey everyone, I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this.
My name is Dave and I'm looking for a couple scripts to produce as short films in Pittsburgh. My best friend Dwight will be directing. He has over 25 years of experience in production and behind the scenes work in the entertainment industry. (He works for the big one.) He splits his time during the pandemic between LA and Pittsburgh, which is why we are shooting there. (I live in Seattle.)
I took my shot as a screenwriter in LA 20 years ago, but life took me in a different direction. I ended up an OGWM (old guy with money), and there's no point dying with regrets and a portfolio, so now I'm producing.
Our prodco is called Caveboy Pictures (caveboypictures.com) and if you have a script you want us to consider, send a PDF with a standard release form to scripts at caveboypictures dot com. (Yeah, I wrote it out to avoid spam bots.) Visit the website I just made for more information. Feel free to message me. I hope we can work together.

i have a couple scripts, but they need to be finished, but you can take a look at them.tell me a gerne and i can send it to you.
Hey, what kind of scripts are you looking for? And how long would you prefer them to be?
Deleted content. Accidental duplicate posting.
We're looking for shorts. So not feature length.
We're looking for stuff that can be produced affordably in Pittsburgh. So if you've got some action script set in the 1600s in Paris with a lot of exteriors, crowd scenes, children, animals, climaxing in a sci fi shootout with aliens and SFX... we're not looking for that.
As a producer (as in, the guy who's paying for it, hiring the crew, and doing the UPM stuff), things I like are: minimal number of scenes, setups, locations, and cast. I like contemporary pieces, interiors, and sets that can be affordably obtained and dressed. Things I don't like: exteriors, extras, night shoots, children, animals, extensive action / stunts, car chases, and SFX.
Thank you so much for your response. I will certainly see what I can offer after my vaccation. have a great week.
Hey Dave!
My Scriptrevolution profile has a couple of shorts that are as you described . All shorts were written in college 100 years ago. I've since become an agented working writer. But specifically What's Your Sign and Filbert. Potentially The Job depending if you want to have some 80s and 90s throwback costuming. Let me know if you want to read any of them and I can follow the protocol on your website.
Also re OGWM...we're looking for investors in our comedy feature script. Producer attached just got off set with Mel Brooks ;) and it's almost fully cast. Just waiting for $$ to make female lead her offer. Lucy deVito, Bresha Webb, Debby Ryan and Mae Whitman's reps are waiting for offers once we have financing in place. I have to also mention, I have an email tracker and Kaley Cuoco' reps said she only does studio etc, but after they told me that...they've opened the email a dozen more times. Strange things a brewin'. This script is also on my profile: Crazy Athol
If that's something you do, please also let me know and I'm happy to send the pitch.
Final thought - you are a fellow PNWer! My dad is a current member of the Seattle Seafair Pirates and retired from Boeing. How Seattley can you get?
Good luck on your script search. Be sure to post the finished product here or where we can see it!
Your friend, Cannon
